Cancelling your plan
Cancelling and refundsCancelling your plan; When a renewal payment fails.
Use Cancel renewal in Account to stop the next payment. Your current paid period continues normally.
What happens, in order
- Your plan stays active with the same limits through the period you've already paid for.
- At the end of that period the account moves to Free.
- Files without an expiry receive the recovery deadline shown in your Account. Free download limits apply during recovery.
- After that, anything not retrieved expires.
Changing your mind
You can resume your subscription any time before the current paid period ends without losing paid time.
Tip: Cancel before renewal if you don't want another charge. You can resume before the current period ends. Renewals are not refunded.
When a renewal payment fails
Paid access continues during the payment grace period. If payment is still missing, the account moves to Free and the recovery deadline shown in Account applies.
A failed renewal does not end paid access immediately. The payment-grace and file-recovery stages apply in order.
| Stage | How long | What you have |
|---|---|---|
| Payment grace | Deadline shown in Account | Paid access continues |
| Moved to Free | Immediately after | Free plan limits |
| File recovery | Recovery deadline shown in Account | Unexpired paid files remain available under Free download limits |
| After that | — | Unretrieved files expire |
What to do
- Update your payment method before the grace period ends to keep paid access uninterrupted.
- If you can't restore payment, use the recovery period to download the files you need.
- Resubscribing before the recovery deadline keeps files that have not expired.
Careful: Free download limits apply during recovery. If you have a large library, prioritize the files you need most.
