The monthly downloads-and-streaming allowance
Usage metersThe monthly downloads-and-streaming allowance; The largest-torrent limit.
Startup preparation, file downloads, ZIP downloads, and browser playback all use the same monthly downloads-and-streaming allowance.
| Plan | Downloads + streaming / month |
|---|---|
| Free | 20 GB |
| Lite | 200 GB |
| Plus | 500 GB |
| Pro | 1 TB |
When it runs out
Transfer allowance reached. See Usage for your next monthly reset.
When the allowance is used up, your files stay in place. Downloads and playback pause until the allowance resets or your plan changes.
What can use extra allowance
- Downloading the same file twice counts twice.
- Seeking repeatedly through a large video can re-download parts of it.
- Resuming a download counts only the bytes that are actually delivered.
Note: gettor does not set a plan-specific delivery speed cap. Shared capacity can still affect speed during busy periods.
The largest-torrent limit
The largest-torrent limit applies to one torrent and is separate from total storage.
Each plan limits both total storage and the size of any single torrent.
| Plan | Largest single torrent | Total storage |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 2 GB | 2 GB |
| Lite | 10 GB | 15 GB |
| Plus | 20 GB | 40 GB |
| Pro | 50 GB | 80 GB |
Why this limit exists
A torrent needs temporary working space while it is fetched. The per-torrent limit keeps one transfer from using too much shared capacity at once.
Note: The limit is checked as soon as the torrent size is known, before any content is downloaded.
