| Queued | Accepted and waiting for one of your plan's transfer slots. | Not yet |

| Fetching metadata | Getting the file list and total size from the swarm. | Yes |
| Downloading | Downloading data. Speed, ETA, seeds, and peers update while it runs. | Yes |
| Saving to library | The torrent finished downloading and the files are being saved to your library. | Yes |
| Completed | The files are available in your library. | Done |
| Failed | The transfer stopped and will not retry automatically. The card shows the reason. | No |

The order is not always the same
A transfer may briefly return to Starting while gettor recovers it. This does not necessarily mean it restarted from zero.
Final statuses
Completed, Failed, and Cancelled are final statuses. Other statuses continue automatically or indicate what happens next.
Why a transfer says “Waiting for capacity”
gettor's transfer capacity is full. Your transfer keeps its place and starts automatically when capacity opens.
Waiting for capacity means the transfer was accepted, but gettor cannot start it yet.
Why capacity matters
Running transfers use temporary working space. When that capacity is full, new transfers wait instead of failing.
What you should do
Wait for capacity to open. Cancelling and re-adding the transfer moves it to the back of the queue.
Note: This status is about gettor capacity, not your plan or the torrent.
How long it lasts
This usually lasts only a short time. If it continues, check Service Status for transfer-processing issues.
