How fair use works on gettor
Fair useFair use means staying within plan limits and avoiding behavior that unfairly consumes shared capacity.
Plan limits are enforced automatically. Fair use also covers behavior that can consume shared capacity even while staying within those limits.
What counts as unfair
- Sharing an account between people.
- Reselling access to gettor.
- Using a library as a public mirror or a CDN origin.
- Using multiple accounts to bypass a plan limit.
- Automation beyond personal use.
- Holding delivery slots open to reserve capacity.
Shared capacity
gettor does not set a plan-specific delivery speed cap. During high demand, extra transfers may wait so shared capacity remains available.
How fair-use issues are handled
Fair-use enforcement normally starts with contact, followed if necessary by throttling or waiting limits, suspension, and then closure. Conduct subject to immediate action is handled under the applicable policy.
Tip: Needing a larger plan is not itself unfair use. If legitimate usage does not fit the available limits, contact support instead of trying to bypass them.
