Seeing where you are signed in

Sessions and devices

Seeing where you are signed in; Signing out everywhere.

Where you are signed in lists your active sessions and marks the current one as This device. You can revoke sessions individually.

What to do with it

  • Ending a session on a shared or borrowed computer you forgot to sign out of.
  • Checking whether anything is signed in that you do not recognise.
  • Clearing out old sessions from devices you no longer have.

How long a session lasts

Without Remember this device, a sign-in lasts until you close the browser and at most 8 hours. With Remember this device, it lasts up to 30 days. Revoked sessions are signed out the next time they make a request.

Careful: If you do not recognize a session, use Sign out everywhere, then change your password.

Signing out everywhere

Ends every session on the account at once, including the one you are using.

Sign out everywhere ends every session on the account, including the browser you are using.

When to use it

  • You think someone else has access.
  • You have lost a device that was signed in.
  • You want a clean slate and cannot be bothered to revoke sessions one at a time.

What it does to downloads in progress

Download and playback links are rechecked on every request, so revoking a session also stops access through that session.

Tip: If you suspect unauthorized access, sign out everywhere and change your password so the old access cannot be re-established.
