When you cannot sign in
Signing inWhen you cannot sign in; Resetting a forgotten password.
- Check how the account was created. Accounts created with Google do not have a gettor password, so use Google sign-in.
- Tick the bot check again — a completed one expires after a few minutes.
- Confirm the email address, including which of your addresses you actually signed up with.
- Reset the password if you are unsure of it. It is quicker than guessing.
- If two-factor authentication is on, enter the current code rather than one that is about to expire.
If it says the account is disabled
A disabled account will not be restored by signing in again. See “This account has been disabled”.
Note: Failed sign-in attempts do not permanently lock the account.
Resetting a forgotten password
Request a link from the sign-in page; it arrives by email and is single-use.
A reset link is emailed to you and works once. You do not need to know the old password.
- On the sign-in page, choose the forgotten-password link.
- Enter your account email address.
- Open the message titled “Reset your gettor password”.
- Follow the link and set a new password of at least eight characters.
If nothing arrives
- Check the spam folder — a first message from a new sender often lands there.
- Make sure you used the address the account was created with.
- If the account signs in with Google, there is no password and no reset email will be sent.
Note: Setting a new password signs out every other session on the account.
