The order is not always the same

A transfer can return to Starting while gettor recovers it. That is recovery working, not a restart from zero — see Can I close the browser while a transfer runs.

Only two of these are endings

Completed, Failed and Cancelled are endings. Everything else either moves forward on its own or says what to do next.

Why a transfer says “Waiting for capacity”

Transfer capacity is full. Your transfer keeps its place and starts on its own.

Waiting for capacity means your transfer has been accepted and is valid, but gettor does not have room to start it right now.

Why capacity matters

Each running transfer needs temporary working space before the finished files are saved to your library. When that space is full, new transfers wait rather than being refused.

What you should do

Wait. The transfer keeps its place and starts automatically. Cancelling and re-adding sends it to the back.

Note: This status is about gettor capacity, not your plan or the torrent.

How long it lasts

Usually minutes. If it persists for a long time, check the status page to see whether transfer processing is available.
