How long earned storage lasts

Earned storage is not permanent. A grant runs for 365 days, and while the person you invited is still around it is renewed each month — so in practice it keeps rolling as long as they keep using gettor.
When it stops rolling
If they stop using the service, the monthly renewal stops and the grant runs down to its end date. gettor emails you before that happens, with the subject “Your earned storage ends on {date}”.
If you are over quota when it ends
Nothing is deleted. Your library goes over its limit, everything stays downloadable, and new transfers are blocked until you delete enough to fit — the same as any other over-quota situation.
Careful: Do not treat earned storage as permanent capacity. If a referral bonus is the only reason your library fits, an ending grant will put you over quota.
