The monthly downloads-and-streaming allowance
Usage metersThe monthly downloads-and-streaming allowance; The largest-torrent limit.
This meter covers everything leaving your library: a file download, a folder taken as a ZIP, and playback in the browser all draw from it.
| Plan | Downloads + streaming / month |
|---|---|
| Free | 10 GB |
| Lite | 200 GB |
| Plus | 500 GB |
| Pro | 1,000 GB |
When it runs out
Transfer allowance reached. See Usage for your next monthly reset.
Your files stay exactly where they are and nothing is deleted. What stops is delivery, until the period resets or you move to a larger plan.
Things that use more than people expect
- Downloading the same file twice counts twice.
- Scrubbing back and forth through a large video re-requests parts of it.
- A resumed download counts only the bytes that actually transfer, which is the one case that costs less than it looks.
Note: gettor does not cap delivery speed per plan, and does not advertise one. Capacity is shared; when demand is high, extra transfers wait so one account cannot take everything.
The largest-torrent limit
A cap on any single torrent, separate from your total storage.
Separately from how much you can store in total, each plan limits how big one torrent may be.
| Plan | Largest single torrent | Total storage |
|---|---|---|
| Free | 2 GB | 2 GB |
| Lite | 10 GB | 15 GB |
| Plus | 20 GB | 40 GB |
| Pro | 50 GB | 80 GB |
Why it exists separately
A torrent needs temporary working space before it is copied into your library. The per-torrent cap keeps one transfer from taking too much shared capacity at once.
Note: This is checked the moment the torrent’s size is known, before any content is downloaded — so an over-sized torrent costs you nothing.
