Cancelling your plan
Cancelling and refundsCancelling your plan; When a renewal payment fails.
Cancelling is done from your account page with Cancel renewal. It does not end anything immediately — it stops the next payment.
What happens, in order
- Your plan continues to the end of the period you have already paid for, with every limit unchanged.
- At the end of that period the account moves to Free.
- Files that had no expiry get 3 days of recovery, with Free download limits applying.
- After that, anything not retrieved expires.
Changing your mind
Keep subscription reverses a cancellation at any point before the period ends, and you lose no paid time by having cancelled in the interim.
Tip: Cancelling is the right move if you are unsure — it is reversible, and it is what protects you from a renewal you did not want. Renewals are not refunded.
When a renewal payment fails
3 days of paid access, then Free, then 2 more days to retrieve your files.
A failed renewal does not cut you off at midnight. There is a deliberate ladder, and it is the same one written into the terms.
| Stage | How long | What you have |
|---|---|---|
| Payment grace | 3 days | Full paid access, unchanged |
| Moved to Free | Immediately after | Free plan limits |
| File recovery | 2 days | Files that had no expiry are still there, at Free download limits |
| After that | — | Unretrieved files expire |
What to do
- Fix the payment method within the grace window — everything continues as though nothing happened.
- If you cannot, use the recovery window to download what you need.
- Resubscribing inside the window keeps files that have not expired.
Careful: Free download limits apply during recovery, so a large library may take more than one period to retrieve. Take the most important things first.
